My rate for proofreading is $4.00 per 1,000 words.

My proofreading service includes the following:
– Spelling
– Grammar
– Punctuation
– Word usage
– Consistency

Please note that proofreading is not the same as editing. Proofreading should come after editing, as the last step to catch any remaining errors.

When proofreading, I will not rewrite your text. I will make minor edits to correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, word usage and consistency. If I find any errors requiring re-writing, I will highlight them for you and leave a comment.

Edits and suggestions will be noted through tracked changes and comments in Microsoft Word. You will also receive a ‘clean copy’ of your manuscript with all edits applied.
